Redbridge 7-a-Side Football League
On Monday 27th February, Gilbert Colvin Primary School football team played four league matches at Power League. They won one game and lost three.
Despite this being the first competitive fixtures our team played in this competition, every player in the team gave a good account of themselves in every game.
All team members had a chance to play in various positions around the pitch: including in goal. It was a great experience and learning curve for all team members.
A big well done to everyone who demonstrated the Gilbert Colvin value of perseverance and kept going all afternoon and never gave up. A special mention to Muhammad and Muntasir who were our stand out players.

Bikeability 2022
Level 1 & 2 Bikeability
Twenty four of our Year 6 pupils worked hard gaining Bikeability Level 1 and Level 2 badges and certificates.
The first part of the week was spent ensuring that the children were able to ride safely and confidently on the playground. All children who were successful on this part of the course achieved Bikeability Level 1.
During the second part of the week, some of the children were taken onto the local roads around the school and tested on their knowledge and riding skills. These pupils achieved Bikeability Level 2.
The team from Bikeability were very impressed with the children’s attitudes and behaviour. They have recommended that parents continue to take their children to the part and ride with them to build on these skills.
BIG WELL DONE EVERYONE!

Gilbert Colvin Primary 70th Anniversary Celebration
To celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Gilbert Colvin Primary School, all the children participated in a Dance-a-thon, where each Year group performed a dance to music from a different decade.
We were delighted to welcome the Deputy Mayor, who came along to watch the performances. Thank you to all the parents and carers who also attended and helped to create a wonderful celebratory atmosphere.
The dances are shown below, well done to everyone for their hard work and practice!
